I like wine, Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen, so over the years I've become proficient with most types of wine openers. Have a drawer full of all kinds!

You sound about like me. I've given up on lever style though, have had too many broken handles. Standby is winged style.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen, I even have a Chateau Laguiole waiter's style corkscrew that I used to bring out to "impress" people. However, no one knew what the heck they were, and it took too much time to explain, so I don't even mention it anymore! No one cares with what you open the bottle, they just want a glass of wine!

I personally prefer a wine key or a winged corkscrew. I don't drink enough wine to even look at an electric one.
