The rose has a pungent smell which can be captivating. The thorns keep us from getting too close, my friend SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL.
Paying attention is a required skill for those trained and experienced in direct combat and recon as well as security forces and parents.
I have an adult son who was injured with a brain injury which significantly impacted his sense of smell. He couldn't smell anything for a few years and asked me how he smelled since he couldn't tell. My relationship with my adult sons allows them to share anything with me - thank God. Now that son is able to smell some things and I trust over time he will regain his sense of smell.
Thanks for mentioning me, my friend CW5 Jack Cardwell
