Marine Corps Sergeant Major Grace Carle, retired, the last living sergeant major of the U.S. Marine Corps Women's Reserve, speaks on her experience in the Corps. 75 years ago, on October 23, 1943, the first Women's Reserve battalion of ninety-three enlisted and two commissioned officers were assigned to Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton.
