I think we should all get the option of buying our hardware when we retire. I don't care about (or own) the M-9 or the M-4 so much but the M-82/107 would definitely go home with me!

Would be nice if NCO's and lower ranking officers could do the same thing.

Jefe I think you should have to fight for it. Not a boxing match or a MMA match just a fight, no weapons other than your body. You would not have to win but I say you have to fight 10 knuckle dragging barbarians at the end you would get any medical attention needed then your gun

TSgt David L. - Hell, if they are retiring I think they should be given the option pass it to their replacement or other officer, or fight to take it home. Lets be honest most of us on here have spent a little or a lot of time in ugly places and nobody offered me a pistol when I left. Maybe I am just an angry old semi-broken knuckle dragging barbarian haha

LTC Jeff Shearer - Like I said in the post below this one, The M-9 or M-4 I don't really care about, but I would take the M-107 Barrett! Or maybe the M-17/18.
I'm sure you spent more time in worse places than I have, but 23 years of shitholes seems like enough to warrant a $10,000 rifle for a fellow knuckle dragger! LMAO
