Some very interesting concepts here. It seems that Smedley made the transition to veteran better than Mattis. Though both shared common traits as active duty commanders, Smedley wasn't sucked into the military-industrial complex as was Mattis. More importantly was the commentary about the cohesion among veterans. I think you'll find that here on RallyPoint. There are many here with whom I radically disagree, I would proudly stand by each and every one of them when we share common cause in the interest of America, its defense, and its defenders.
