The Women's Army Corps (WAC) was the women's branch of the United States Army. It was created as an auxiliary unit, the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC) on 15 May 1942 by Public Law 554, and converted to full status as the WAC on 1 July 1943. Its first director was Oveta Culp Hobby, a prominent society woman in Texas. My Mom was a WAC.....That is how she met my Father. I still have the picture on my desk she's front row to the left....Maybe i'll try to scan it, it is very wide.

SGT John " Mac " McConnell - That's my mission for the day....try and get that photo scanned. Been M.I.A for a week or so with the boys graduating getting the house and party in order but now I have some time for me!....BTW it was a hell of a Grad. Party here yesterday....Shut down the Bar in my shop @ 0000 hours!
