No doubt you have been faced with many challenging choices and may be faced with some right now. I think that you like I sought advice from knowledgeable people and put significant thought into those decision choices. I expect you may well have visualized in your mind’s eye the impact of your decisions. Hopefully you and will do our best to consider second order effects of the decisions we make voluntarily or under pressure. I pray that you and I seek the LORD’s will whenever we make decisions which impact others. ‘I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.’ [Psalm 32:8 ESV] my brother-in-Christ SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL

I pray for sufficient insight, discernment and humility for each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads this prayer or listens to it. Help us to lean on YOU whenever we are faced with challenges including making difficult decisions. By YOUR grace YOU prepare us for what we will face through challenges of body, mind & soul; exhortations, and admonitions in YOUR Word. ‘Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.’ [Psalm 23:4-5 ESV]

I lift each adopted son and daughter who reads this prayer LORD. I pray that we choose life over death, wisdom over folly, compassion over selfishness. ‘I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore, choose life, that you and your offspring may live, loving the LORD your God, obeying his voice and holding fast to him, for he is your life and length of days….’ [Deuteronomy 30:19-20 ESV]

Thankfully the LORD rewards each person who places trust in HIM equally whether we come to salvation as children or on our deathbed. ‘But he replied to one of them, ‘Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a denarius? Take what belongs to you and go. I choose to give to this last worker as I give to you. Am I not allowed to do what I choose with what belongs to me? Or do you begrudge my generosity?’ So the last will be first, and the first last.” [Mathew 20:13-16 ESV]

LORD, I pray that YOU bless the honest and trustworthy leaders, legislators, judges, and their staff members with an increase of wisdom, goodness and kindness as they work to solve complex problems and decide difficult judicial cases. I pray that YOU enable them to effectively communicate across the aisles and to their constituents throughout the USA states, Canada, UK, Poland, France, India, Japan, Philippines, and Australia. ‘Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”. [Hebrews 13:5-6 ESV]

I pray that you and your family members sleep well Wednesday night and each will awake refreshed and healthy on Thursday morning.

Thank you my friend and brother-in-Christ Sgt (Join to see) for your diligence in posting our friend, former RallyPoint member emeritus, and brother-in-Christ Colonel Mikel Burroughs VFV Motivational/Inspirational Quotes & Message of the Day for Wednesday, February 23, 2023.

Topic: Choices Day
The most crucial element of choices is what the focus is on. The choice of what to do, where to go, what to eat, which item to purchase, what color to paint a room in, etc are reasonable applications of choice.
1. The decision to kill a pre-born child in the womb is not a noble choice. Some consider it a valid choice. God is pro-human life. He defends the defenseless and HE is the author of capital punishment for those who deliberately kill human beings, on their own volition.
2. As for me and my household, we choose life.
3. The Good News for mankind is the Gospel. Before time began, God planned the means to restoration of fellowship with fallen mankind. In the fullness of time, the Holy Spirit impregnated a young Jewish woman named Mary with the eternal Word of God. The sinless Jesus enabled HIMSELF to be scourged and crucified and HIS shed flesh and blood met the requirement to atone for all the cumulative sin of mankind. Of course, only those who are place their trust in God [heart/soul regenerated by the Holy Spirit.]
4. Often in fiction as well as in life, when the offer of good or bad news delivered first is presented, the choice requires thoughtful consideration.

Quotes:
1. Kelsey Grammer 'Little makes me angry, but injustice does. It gets a bit dishonest to call something reproductive rights when you clearly have a choice well before a baby is conceive
2. Mother Teresa 'it is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live life as you wish'
3. Mike Rowe 'Work ethic is important because, unlike intelligence, athleticism, charisma, or any other natural attribute, it's a choice.'
4. Peter Dale Scott 'Less is more. Happiness is found close to the necessities of life, not in needless complexity and meaningless multiplicity of choice.'
5. Craig D. Lounsbrough 'I often wonder if my imagination is one of God’s choicest gifts bestowed upon me to deliberately break me free from the frequent doldrums of my humanity.'
6. Edwin Louis Cole 'Reasonable men adapt to the world around them; unreasonable men make the world adapt to them. The world is changed by unreasonable men.'
7. Andrew Grove 'You have no choice but to operate in a world shaped by globalization and the information revolution. There are two options - adapt or die.

Scriptures
a. Deuteronomy 30:19-20 ESV I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore, choose life, that you and your offspring may live, loving the LORD your God, obeying his voice and holding fast to him, for he is your life and length of days, that you may dwell in the land that the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.'
b. Romans 14:13-15 'Therefore let us not pass judgment on one another any longer, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother. I know and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself, but it is unclean for anyone who thinks it unclean. For if your brother is grieved by what you eat, you are no longer walking in love. By what you eat, do not destroy the one for whom Christ died.'
b. Philippians 1:21-24 ESV ‘For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better. But to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account.’
c. Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV 'For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.'
d. Hebrews 4:1-3 ESV 'Therefore, while the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us fear lest any of you should seem to have failed to reach it. For good news came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because they were not united by faith with those who listened. For we who have believed enter that rest, as he has said, “As I swore in my wrath, ‘They shall not enter my rest,’ although his works were finished from the foundation of the world.'
e. Philippians 3:20-21 ESV 'But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.'
f. Romans 1:26-27 "For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.'
g. 2 Timothy 2:23-25 ESV 'Have nothing to do with foolish, ignorant controversies; you know that they breed quarrels. And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth.'
h. John 15:12-17 ESV 'This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. These things I command you, so that you will love one another.'
i. Galatians 5:22-24 ESV 'But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.’

LTC Stephen F. sense and sensibility, for everything there is a Season.
My mind has basically taken over. Wouldn't be so bad.. but the physical brain is fubar.
I got married once, for Love and to someone i thought loved me.
I'll never repeat that lapse in discernment again.
Any of it.
Be careful what you seek. Even when it isn't there, you will believe you found it.
