TITLE: 1st Infantry Division commander suspended pending investigation
The commanding general of the 1st Infantry Division has been suspended pending an investigation, the Army confirmed Friday.
Maj. Gen. Wayne Grigsby “is currently the subject of an official investigation, and we cannot comment further at this time,” an Army official said in a statement.
Army officials declined to provide any additional information, including the nature of the investigation.
Grigsby took command of the 1st Infantry Division at Fort Riley, Kansas, in August 2015, according to his official bio.
He has served as the special assistant to the Army’s deputy chief of staff for operations (G-3/5/7) in Washington, D.C., and as the commanding general of Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa.
He also spent time as the deputy commanding general of operations for the 1st Armored Division, the director of the Mission Command Center of Excellence, and the director of the School of Advanced Military Studies Program.
Grigsby commanded 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, leading his soldiers on a deployment to Iraq during the 2007 surge. He also served as commander of 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment.
A School of Advanced Military Studies graduate, Grigsby’s awards and decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal with one oak leaf cluster, the Legion of Merit with five oak leaf clusters, the Bronze Star Medal with two oak leaf clusters, the Meritorious Service Medal with four oak leaf clusters and the Douglas MacArthur Leadership Award. He has earned the Expert and Combat Infantryman badges, the Senior Parachutist Badge, and the Ranger tab.

No but I wish I did. Smells foul to me. Sounds like someone is making a false allegation trying to bring this man down.

Not again. SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL there have been a lot of leaders in the military investigated in the past 8 years. I would love to see senior "civil servants" investigated as thoroughly as the military does their own.

LTC Stephen F. Are you referring to the IRS Director or the State Dept minions who have lesser memories than HRC?

CSM Charles Hayden - when I wrote "I would love to see senior "civil servants" investigated as thoroughly as the military does their own" I am referring to all politically appointed "civil servants." That certainly includes the current IRS commissioner, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, etc.
I remember how VP Spiro Agnew was verbally tarred and feathered by the press. However, it is rare if ever that a liberal civil servant or elected official would be castigated by the press of investigated by Federal investigators.

Two generals have recently been relived SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL, the one in this article and BG Michael Bobeck. In Bobeck's case he's charged with adultery. Who knows about the Big Red 1 commander. Maybe a woman too?

We have had such a rash of these that unless we think of our Flag officers as Whores, Giggolos I would have to assume they were purged. Adultery is a convenient and someone elegant (lmao) to get rid of those who do not partake of your politics, we can only imagine what other choices were given.

SGT Efaw (Mick) G. - I totally agree, that is not however what I said. I said they are total whores or they are being purged, judging by the numbers there has been whoring of epic proportions in the last 7+ years.
