Nope..... only effective if combined with other actions... and if there are not other actions.. they keep growing.

In southern and central Libya, neither of the rival national governments—the GNA and the House of Representatives (HoR)—exercises effective authority. Without clear political authority, these regions have become a passageway for smugglers, jihadists and migrants."

Agreed sir. Things of this nature are never so simple. There will always be a sympathizer due to the fact that these groups are formed from local communities, preach the same and court the same among other things which is a discussion for another time for those intrested

Exactly - but if that is the case politically - how instead do you wage the war against them? Part of the problem is a lack of critical thinking.. and not applying all items outside of getting into the quicksands of another conventional force application that has US forces stuck for a decade in a place they did not need to be. Always the thinking goes towards how do We beat them.... not to the other part of who else is in the game and how do we facilitate their beating them..... and when you hit that part of critical thinking.. there is alot we can do.. Unfortunately - we are not there yet..
