My Verizon worked fine last year there between Aqaba and even out in the desert towards Wadi Rum. Just know the folk to the West capture everything and can do many things the other way as well.

Not sure what type of cell service there is but it must be fairly good. I have two clients stationed there and when they call my office on their cell phone it's like they are sitting in the office. Never had a dropped call, fuzzy connections, etc. Unlike Turkey where it's two tin cans and a string for communications.

SFC (Join to see) - I think Zain is one of the providers. May also be Vodafone or Orange. Those seem to be the big carriers in the Middle East (at least if you watch any F1 coverage in those countries, the ads are all over the track so I googled them). You may want to check to see if you can get a SIM card when you get there so you can use your own phone. My clients usually get a SIM card when they arrive at their destination overseas.

SFC (Join to see) - Zaim, Orange and one other provider. Usually you can get a burner phone and a SIM card right where you are at when deployed for a pittance. Where's e there are Joe's, there is money, and where there is a cottage industry. It's not the rigamarole in the US and a multi year contract.
