Once upon a time, a picture was worth 1,000 words...now, I'm not sure you can tell fact from fiction if it's shot in widescreen on Panavision by Cecil B. DeMille. Here's another version of what seems to be a similar, if not the same firefight:

I'm not an expert by any means, but seems to be a vastly different context once you pan the camera around and see the Kalashnikovs opening up.

Their comments about the U.S. Media are lifted verbatum from the Russian press, so my guess is this publication is put out or at least paid for by the Russian government.
