This is truly the end of an era. This plane/system has been around for decades (since the first Gulf War) and has provided intelligence to countless commanders and service members. I've personally flown on the plane and conducted some missions in the late 90's and I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it.

The plane is an old Boeing 707 airframe that was built in the late 1950's. There's another platform that's being designed to replace this one but it's still quite a few years out.
