Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Bryan Battaglia will retire in December. Who do you think will be selected? Only a few are eligible!
I haven't seen this posted but having the right Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman (SEAC) Of the Joint Chiefs of Staff has a huge impact on the potential benefits for the force.
Thus far there have only been two SEACs. I have had the honor of meeting both of these Warriors and they are both honorable and humble servant leaders. Here they are along with a link to their bio:
1ST SEAC Army CSM William Gainey https://www.benning.army.mil/armor/GaineyCup/content/pdf/CSM%20GaineyBio.pdf
2ND SEAC Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Bryan Battaglia

As you can see by the Bio of these two Warriors, the position is filled with our Nations best. The original link has a list of those eligible to compete. I have had the opportunity to serve alongside several of those on the list, who have you served with, and who would you like to see selected?

CSM John W. Troxell would be a great Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and would have huge impact on the the force.

Boy, I'd totally fail at the Anchor Pool for this one. Didn't know the CG was considered a service for it. A lot will depend on what the new boss wants the SEL to do, or not do. That will have a lot to do with the "fit". Marines are good mavericks, so I'd be surprised if he sticks close to home, but then again Marines are good poker bluffers. I'm sure Top B will weigh in on it. From what others have said, you could throw a dart and get a winner every time.
