Amid Shortfalls, Most USMC Requests for Ship Training Denied Last Year

The goal of 38 ships by 2033 is another one I will miss out on. A person 3 yrs old in 2018 will be turning 18 in 2033 in time to embark on one of the new ships..

Nothing new. Amphibs have been scarce for as long as I can remember. We often didn't know until Blue/Green workups whether we were sailing with a 3 or 4 ship ARG. It made things hard to plan for everything. Embarkation guys were pulling their hair out trying to plan for both contingencies. It was challenging, and sometimes messy but such is life. Our first float was on an LKA and we were lucky to get an LST on each float. They have new classes of ships now and I thought it would be better by now. Guess not.
