As a prior service Marine, why hasn't my unit given me a promotable status based on my time in service?

I am a prior service Marine, my PEBD dates back to July 22nd 2013, I understand my TIS remains but my TIG does not. I’ve been in the Army since August 27th, 2018. Many of my old Marine buddies have come to the Army, some as recently as this January. They’ve been given promotion status and have already been promoted without going to the board. My unit is sending me to the board this month. I don’t mind competing, but my friends told me their command said they were given their P Status immediately because of their TIS. Why hasn’t this applied to me? My immediate command has been trying to look into this but they, and myself, keep running into dead ends. I also understand as an E4 non-promotable, I’ll be forced out next year when I hit 8 years. For the record, I know I’m a good Soldier, I don’t have anything negative in any of my paper work, so why is this happening to me?

What dead end did you hit when you read the promotion regulation? What qualifies you to be automatically promotable?
Also, you're not forced out at your 8 year mark. We don't have HYT in the Army. We have RCP which is the latest date you're allowed to reenlist to. Unless you get reduced, you will serve at least to your current RCP.

The promotion system takes into account your BASD, not your PEBD, and your TIG. If you have not completed a DA Form 1506 to recalculate your BASD following your separation from the USMC and enlistment into the Army that might be the issue.

Have you completed SSD1/DLC1 and BLC, or the equivalent NCO or Sergeants course in the USMC?

I have SGM, my ERB reflects it. It was completed nearly a year ago. The friends of mine who came to the Army were given promotable statuses immediately upon arrival to their units. I can’t go to BLC until I’m promotable. In the USMC I did not go to Corporals Course which would substitute for BLC, but neither did any of those friends. I’m not entirely sure what to do or where to go to get more insight. I’m just rolling with it as my command suggested I do.

SPC (Join to see) actually Corporal course does not substitute for BLC in the Army.

SFC (Join to see) -Not trying to sharp shoot, just a little knowledge of a sister service. It is not a Corporal course, it is an NCO academy. The Marine Corps rank structure bestows duties and responsibilities one rank lower than the Army. Hence as a Gunny, you would have the duties and responsibilities of your 1SG, and SSG are platoon sergeants.

CSM Rick Cassel I understand, but as per HRC the USMC Corporal Course isn’t given constructive credit for our PME.
