Good Saturday morning Kerry. Sorry, I am taking calls this morning so I am on intermittently...
What an awesome topic for the Colonel since all of the pictures he and Diane are taking there in Costa Rica have been amazing...over and over, one says, OMG, check out that view.
And on that thought, it is that while it is easier to go down...less resistance and effort, the best views are from the top. The same is true for life in general; the best takes effort. The easy way is just that...and it is usually filled with others who also chose not to put for the extra effort. Which are you?

Good Saturday morning to you, Charlie... There is no question that the best views are from the top, but in my case I will take mountains over tall buildings, like the One World Trade Center building or the Empire State building... I don't mind flying at all, but being on top of a building with a ledge and I get weak kneed... when I look down... Being on top of a majestic mountain is more my type of thing... LOL! Have a great day, Charlie...

Hopefully you comprehend that your value is beyond measure in God’s view. The atonement of Jesus the Christ on the cross is the penultimate demonstration of selfless agape love. No doubt you understand that each person is equal in value in the LORD’s perfect view of humanity. I expect your involvement with those you lead and those who rely on your judgement and advice is balanced between interacting with them respectfully, allowing them latitude to operate, exercise their viewpoints without prejudice, and speak their minds respectfully and freely. No doubt they appreciate the mutual trust between you. ‘or one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. [Romans 5:7-9 ESV], my sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown.

I pray for a sufficient increase of the Fruit of the Spirit kindness, gentleness, and self-control for each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads this prayer or listens to it dear LORD. We need humility and YOUR grace to serve the weakest and most needful among us. Guide us where we are needed physically and virtually as well as through intercessory prayer guidance. ‘In the same way God, desiring even more to show to the heirs of the promise the unchangeableness of His purpose, interposed with an oath, so that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to take hold of the hope set before us.’ [Hebrews 6:17-18 ESV]

Thank YOU, LORD, for designing us to heal, guiding the mind and hands of medical professionals and working supernaturally I lift those afflicted with PTSD, mental illness, serious infective illnesses, cancers, COVID, and significant physical disabilities to YOU LORD as well as the medical professionals, rehabilitative trainers and counselors. I pray that YOU bless the medical and rehabilitative professionals with discernment, patience, skill, and compassion as they work to help people recover from injuries and diseases. I pray that YOU give insight and great communication skills to educators and trainers who are training and educating children, military personnel and others undergoing training. ‘It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline? If you are left without discipline, in which all have participated, then you are illegitimate children and not sons’ [Hebrews 12:6-7 ESV]

No doubt they appreciate the freedom and latitude and hopefully they act responsibly. ‘May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. I myself am satisfied about you, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able to instruct one another.’ [Romans 15:13-14 ESV]

I pray that each one of us are discerning and wise as the members the Berean church who searched the scriptures [Old Testament] to see of what Paul was saying lined up with God’s Word. when any tries to tell us anything that distorts basic Christian doctrine – especially Jehovah’s Witness, LDS, Word of Faith teachers and all others who have a distorted view of God. ‘Now the Bereans were more noble-minded than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if these teachings were true. As a result, many of them believed, along with quite a few prominent Greek women and men.’ [Acts 17:11-12 ESV]

The LORD admonishes each of us that humility and service to others is the higher level of human excellence. In the world system the political lords expect to be served. In the Biblical worldview the leaders serve with humility and respect to all. ‘Bondservants, obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling, with a sincere heart, as you would Christ, not by the way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, rendering service with a good will as to the Lord and not to man, knowing that whatever good anyone does, this he will receive back from the Lord, whether he is a bondservant or is free.’ [Ephesians 6:5-8 ESV]

'I pray for wisdom for the Supreme Court chief justice and associate justices as they review cases and make judgements. 'I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curse. Therefore, choose life, that you and your offspring may live!' [Deuteronomy 30:19 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Saturday night and will awake refreshed and healthy on Sunday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - A career Army man, an uncle once gave me similar advice. "Never look back," meaning mostly to not to fret over traumatic events. Sage advice that I follow to this day.

The best part of being a flier was the tremendous views, and they actually pay you to see them. But you do need to focus on the objective while enjoying that view!

Much better view than the view through submarine windows and screen doors. But, most of my second career, was with foreign entities (NORTEL, Siemens and Fujitsu), lots of air time. Totally agree with your comment.

Thank you my friend and brother-in-Christ Sgt (Join to see) for posting the “Colonel’s” VFV Motivational/Inspirational Quotes & Message of the Day! for Saturday, January 15, 2022.

Even those born blind can visualize in their mind and their views are not clouded, by God's grace

“View Day!”
1. Early on I developed a healthy work ethic from my parents. I developed an interest in strategy very early on as I studied history. I have been a service focused leader since I was a teenager.
2. By God's grace I have been able to view many scenic vistas in the USA, England, Wales, Germany, Denmark, Greece, Switzerland, Austria, Costa Rica, the Caribbean sea, the Aegean Sea, as well as views from aircraft I parachuted out from :-) I visited my cousins in England, Wales and Denmark in the 1960's and 1980's.
4. In God's view, I am making progress as HE sanctifies my soul

Quotes;
1. Gilbert K. Chesterton 'Man does not live by soap alone; and hygiene, or even health, is not much good unless you can take a healthy view of it or, better still, feel a healthy indifference to it.'
2. Elie Wiesel 'Wherever men and women are persecuted because of their race, religion, or political views, that place must - at that moment - become the center of the universe.'
3. Helen Keller 'The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.'

Scriptures:
a. 1 Corinthians 13:12-13 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known. So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
b. Luke 14:28-30 ESV 'For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it? Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’
c. 1 Corinthians 2:9 ESV ‘But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”
d. Revelation 3:7 ESV ‘And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: ‘The words of the holy one, the true one, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, who shuts and no one opens.’

Thank you my friend and sister-in-Christ Lt Col Charlie Brown for mentioning me.

Quote: C.S. Lewis 'As long as you are proud you cannot know God. A proud man is always looking down on thing and people- and, of course, as long as you are looking down you cannot see something that is above you.'

Scripture: Matthew 22:36-40 'ESV Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”
