If these countries think the threat from Russia is gone completely, well its not ! It was largely the United States that got the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics to break down and US support of NATO. Its easy to look the other way and History has proved over and over again what the price is for that. An once of prevention is far better than a pound of cure. In the long run its far less expensive to spend now and prevent problems than conduct warfare because nothing at all was done to prevent it. There would be a lot more money and even lives at stake.

'Seems to me the chance of the their "woke" disposition ever happening in my lifetime -- is NONE. They've coasted on our taxpayer money for 74-years, so what's going to change anytime soon.

If the earth become uninhabitable, what good will all those military commitments do?

MSG Stan Hutchison - My first response to your video is who produced it?
My second response is, folks need to learn the difference between climate and weather.
Third response; as I have posted before, if I am incorrect and we take action, all we lose in money. If the deniers are incorrect, but we fail to take action, we lose the earth.

MSG Stan Hutchison everything we do is a Gamble. It's the chance of something happening that we have to diagnose and make a guess. Just like with my civilian job I drive about 60 miles a day on the road and the chance of someone running a red light and broadsided me is pretty low but it is there. Having the chances of the Earth's turn into a tropical jungle water world because the polar ice caps melt will take a lot longer than 40 or 50 years but having a nuclear war with our adversaries or something like India or Pakistan going at it are a higher probability based on the aggressive behavior happening at this time. Check out what would happen and if there was a nuclear Exchange, this is just a low nuclear Exchange. I believe that crazy Cortez and the green party will be shiting their pants because they won't be able to charge money for these carbon tax projects if we have crop failures, mass starvation and displaced people because we spent too much money on g-wiz items of climate change that won't work instead of putting money and Manpower in to defending our nation's borders and militaries. I believe that the green New Deal zealots and the green party people are putting the cart in front of the horse. I also think that we've mitigated pollution and CO2 greatly since the EPA was established in 1970. My 1966 Mustang with an RV Cam and a 4-barrel carburetor gives me a splitting headache every time I park it in the garage compared to my 2015 Dodge Challenger that it has an all stock 300 horsepower V6 that play puts out 5% of the pollution compared to the 1966 Ford Mustang. We have done so much to mitigate pollution since 1970. We have done a lot without socialism telling us what we can and can't do. I don't think Democrats are going to go for taking a sailing ship from Hawaii to go to Congress. I don't think I'm going to take a train from Canada to Seattle Washington for my army training. We have idiots in Congress who want us to do a Manhattan Project to save the Earth but we don't have NATO allies who can't even put 2% of their GDP toward their defense. We have it all backwards!
The probability of a nuclear conflict in the next 5 years is a hell of a lot higher than crazy Cortez and Al Gore saying we have 10 to 12 years to fix a runaway climate system. We have to follow the money because I think someone is lying to us and using the pseudoscience to start this political BS of charging all kinds of money for things we don't really need to do.

Here is the thing, Russians uses nuclear weapons as part of their shaping operations in a major attack which could happen in the Baltic states or in Poland. Russia has a sore Papa and wants those back and they don't like any of their former Soviet Bloc States to join NATO like Montenegro has. They don't use nuclear weapons as a last resort. I need to have a stronger military in the conventional side and not used the stupid thought that the nuclear umbrella will protect us from a superior military force. I'm not advocating extensive upgrades to our nuclear Armed Forces, I'm just saying to instead of wasting all our golf Delta money on climate change carbon capture, Canada could actually go from 1.43% to 2% same with Germany in their GDP and improving Mutual defense of NATO. If Poland has 2 billion dollars to give us to help us stay in Poland, why can't Germany do something similar and put their broke-dick tanks back in running order and get their submarines back in running order and not have 85% of their Air Force grounded due to lack of pilots and spare parts. Can you believe that Germany has less than 15 of their 85 Toronado fighter-bombers able to fly? We can't blame the mass influx of refugees from Syria and elsewhere as part of their problem. They have to get off their ass and put in their fair share and that doesn't mean making Al Gore and others Rich funding their pet projects.

LTC (Join to see) - I will simply say this and then let this one go:

We can do both, maintain a strong defense AND take steps to help the climate.
