The 30 Title 32 tour was most likely done by the state's under guidance from National Guard Bureau . Title 32 keeps them under state control. If they went under Title 10 they would be under Federal control.

Could have been an oversight or the state could have done it to get more troops for the money. I have seen it done before. Lt Col Charlie Brown

No surprise to me my friend CW5 Jack Cardwell that Title 32 mobilization authorization are limited to 30 days - once the mobilization hits 31 days federal entitlements including BAH, COLA and TRICARE benefits.
