Hello,
Wondering if anyone knows how I can get onto a deployment without transitioning from the National Guard to Active Army. My unit goes to Washington, D.C. every 3 years-ish, which is great, but I'd like more. I'm in the most deployed battalion in ND, but seems like we aren't going anywhere any more. I'm a 14S, open to re-classing, but unit doesn't want to let me go as it is an in need MOS. Does anyone know how I can get on a list for other deploying units to fill in for open slots that they have? Thanks!

Go on your "my hrc" portal and click volunteer for overseas assignment. Ultimately though, it's up to your unit commander whether you go or not. Good luck.

It looks like the HRC website is going through some changes. I can't seem to find anything referring to over seas deployments or volunteering. Do you have a specific link to the correct page?

PFC (Join to see) https://www.hrcapps.army.mil use either CAC or AKO info to login. Click on Volunteer Status...if you haven't volunteered yet, it should all you to. Also, check out https://mobcop.army.mil for actual tours that you can volunteer for.

There is all kinds of ways. There is MOBCop. There is changing your profile in HRC from Non Volunteer to Volunteer. However....if your unit isn't going to release you, then you aren't going anywhere.
