I really like General Mattis. I have some great quotes he has made, and they're exactly how a Commander should command. I'll post a couple of them, even though you've probably seen them.

Sounds like they both like retirement more than public service after 40-44 years of service. Can't say I blame them. I think in some ways being on one side of the fence for so long, and then jumping the political side of the house can be difficult. What I mean is that before, they took the orders from the Commander in Chief and the Pentagon and learned how to do more with less and policy changes, and now to be on the other side and give these orders, can be a difficult transition.
