I was a fan of AirLand Battle doctrine because I thought it improved upon the German WWII combined arms approach and incorporated many of the newer capabilities airpower brought to the joint fight. However, China today is much more a maritime threat than Russia of 1980 was, so is AirLand Battle still a viable approach, or does it need to come to grips with A2AD the way AirSea Battle attempts to?
