Wow, read yesterday in the Milwaukee Business Journal that both American Airlines and Jet Blue are setting up high school to flight school pilot training programs now due to an increasing shortage of pilots. The so called "Ab Initio" programs also pay for the expenses of the training via the respective Airline and the programs extend multi-year. Apparently the former supply route of drawing from former Armed Services pilots is no longer enough given the demand. Wonder how this will impact Army Recruiting for Helo Pilots?
