Is the gaining unit on your DA 5434 accurate, even before getting projections?

I am a 25s transfer in training with airborne but a permanent no jump profile. I was told not to expect projections/orders until 30-60 days out from PCS. I have about 90 days. I was also told not to expect to be sent to an airborne unit due to my profile. Is the gaining unit that appears on my DA 5434 really where I'm going despite not having any projections? It says '18th Airborne Corps and Fort Bragg.'

These are all the units under 18th Airborne:
82nd Airborne Division (Bragg)
3rd Infantry Division (Stewart)
10th Mountain Division (Drum)
101st Airborne Division (Campbell)
U.S. Army 3rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command (Knox)
7th Transportation Brigade (Expeditionary) (Eustis)
16th Military Police Brigade (Bragg)
18th Field Artillery Brigade (Bragg)
20th EN BDE (Bragg)
525 Military Intelligence Brigade (Bragg)
35th Signal (Gordon)
44th Medical BDE (Bragg)
You could go to any one of those units. When I got orders to Riley they said 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team. That was it. I ended up in the BSTB MICO initially. (Although someone in S1 thought I was a male so I was supposed to go to one of the infantry brigades but that was before females were assigned).

Thanks for the info Sergeant! However, I'm still unclear if the gaining unit on my DA 5434 is accurate without orders or projections.

You are likely going to go to some unit that falls under 18th Airborne at Bragg. But anything can change even after you get orders.
So I see you said it was auto-filled with 18th? That doesn't mean anything. You fill out the form so when you get orders, you put in what the orders state. If it states 18th Airborne Corps you put that in. If not, you don't. It doesn't really mean much at this point.

Not necessarily. Until you have been contacted by your sponsor at the unit level just be patient. Also understand that even after you have been assigned a sponsor, your unit can still change.

I just came from drum as well and they are part of the XVIII AB Corps. We certainly never jumped

There are plenty of units at Bragg that don’t jump. Well, maybe not plenty but till you get your orders anything can happen.
