Israel bombed Iraq and Syria. They will do the same to Iran. As soon as Dr. Achmed calls up and says "hey - I got it to work," Israel will launch.

A psyop guy posting an obvious psyop product. Uggghhh.

If you go look at all of the unclassified Foreign Military and Direct Commercial Sales for the GCC countries, you would see that they already have, and are ordering more Patriot batteries from the US. They are working to buy THAAD. They do combined Air & Missile Defense Exercises with and without us. They're running a pretty effective air & ground campaign in Yemen (minus Oman).

And the Israelis are bitching in Congress about how strong they are becoming. Though Israelis and Jordanians are cooperating very well on Syria and in exercises.

Ask the Saudis what they think.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a conflict between them and the Iranians in the near term, and I do not mean the proxy conflicts in Yemen and Iraq.

I am aware of that, SPC Nathan Freeman. They just can't say that publicly.
Look for the Saudis to be in the market for offensive weaponry as well. They'll keep the ordinance they buy on the down low, but hardware will be publicly paraded to show how tough they are. The ordinance is the much more telling item, though.
I expect them to announce a naval purchase soon too.

The problem is that the flavor of Islam practiced in Saudi Arabia/Bahrain/Kuwait is vastly different than that practiced in Iran. As far as Iran is concerned, the house of Saud are blasphemers and will get a nuke as well. This is why they ALSO have no desire for nuclear armed Iran. A "deal" whereby Israel does the killing and Saudi Arabia allows "overflights" has been in place for some time.

PO3 Donald Murphy - Honestly, I think that the religious angle is overblown and that the real driver is one of regional dominance. Iran desires to be a hegemon and get control of the holy sites for political reasons. The religious angle, while significant, is mostly the drug to motivate the masses.
BTW, the majority religion in Bahrain is actually Shia. That was one of the principal drivers of the protests/ revolt in 2011. Sunni Muslims rule but constitute about 17% of the population, with Hindus and Christians (mostly from India) close behind.
