I lost my Grandfather yesterday.  He served our country as a a Navy Lt who helped save the lives of countless men and women during World War II and Korea.  When his service was up, he worked as a Medical Doctor for more than 40 years.  He spent his entire professional life helping people and he will be missed.

I, too, want to extend my condolences, Chief. The sad fact is, we are losing a whole generation of heroes and outstanding role models. My dad, a veteran of WW2 (Navy) died last September. I miss him, and my mom, very much. But we carry on.
On a positive note, we have a whole new generation of courageous, principled heroes - the young men and women who are serving now. They will inspire their children and grand children. They inspire me. Keep up the good work, warriors. God bless all of you.

My condolences to you and your family.  Be proud of his service to our country both in and out of unifrom.  Thanks for sharing his story with us and continue sharing it.
