68N Cardiovascular Technologist MOS; Any tips about the course or the MOS in general?

I am being retrained for this MOS and would like to know what is the army training worth in the civilian side? My understanding is that the course is over a year, just not sure how much of a help would that be to get a civilian job. Any tips about the course or the MOS in general is HIGHLY appreciated.

Upon completion of the course you will take the RCIS. which is a credential for cardiac invasive procedures. I just graduated from the course a few months ago. Did you see the army recruiting video? I was going through the course when they created it because it's a new MOS. It used to be ASI Y6. Youtube "army 68N". It's one of the few recruiting videos where the training/job were very accurate and probable

SGT Victoria Belbusti - Hi, I am interested in 68N MOS also. Did you have any time for family during AIT? Were the instructors willing to work with you or was it a one- time-fail and you are gone kind of situation? How many students were in your class and how many made it through the course, how many failed and were reclassed? What is promotion like for 68N? Any information you can give me will be appreciated

If you fail you go back to your MOS not reclassed unless you are an IET soldier. Idk fail rates for other classes, my whole class went through, 5 on the army side. We had some fail from the Navy though.
You will not have much time for family in phase one. Phase two you'll get more freedom and will have time if you budget your time well. It's intense but worth it.

You'll have time with your family, but it will be in your best interest and your family's to spend as much time as you need on studying.
When I went through in 2013, the instructors were very much invested in each students success. They would stay after class if you need it, they would come in on the weekends if you needed it. You couldn't fail the same test twice, and you couldnt fail more than 7(if I remember) tests between phase 1 and 2.
I want to say my class started with 16. 10 navy and 6 army. And we finished with 9. 4 navy and 5 army. If you're prior service, you go back to your MOS.
Promotions can be tough for prior service depending on how many points and TIG/TIS you start the program with. there's probably less than 100 techs in the army, so the points can vary almost month to month, but a lot do get out for RCP or to start getting paid on the civilian side. So point can drop low frequently.
Check the recruiting video "army 68n" its very accurate to what you'll actually be doing. I went through in 2013-2014, worked at my next duty station, then got out and I'm doing the same thing on the civilian side. The civilian sector LOVES the military techs. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi, I am interested in 68n MOS and there is not much information out there. Can you please tell me how the course is and if it’s worth it in civilian side? My ultimate goal is PA school. Also, can you offer a course syllabus or description so I know what the course entails so I can possibly start studying. Did you have any time for family during AIT? On the civilian side, invasive cardiovascular technologists typically work installing pacemakers, but they can work in a variety of roles. They often do much of the "dirty work" for a cardiovascular surgeon.
