The Prime Minister of Iraq has announced that he feels it's not necessary for the US to send in ground troops to help them take back Ramadi.

Do you agree with the Prime Minister? Why or why not?

Do you think the US has made the right decision to send in ground troops?

Whether I agree or not doesn't really matter. Iraq is a sovereign nation with it's own military and government. If they want our help ok, if not ok. That said, I think the Iraqi army can do it on their own, if they really want to. They just might suffer some significant casualties, it all depends how badly they want to hold on to their country.

I feel we should allow Iraqi to see if they can fight this battle on their own terms.

SSG Audwin Scott I can see your point, but if we do we'll just be going backwards and have to step in and help and clean it up so might as well nip it in the bud up front.

The Iraqi prime minister has to put on a public face of self sufficiency Sgt Kelli Mays.
I expect that privately he welcomes the use of US and other special forces capabilities to gather intel, target ISIS leaders and helpfully improve teh stability of Iraq.

LTC Stephen F. Yes, probably so. I thought it was strange for him to announce this publicly.
