Does anyone have experience/advice using Transition Assistance Management Program (TAMP)?

I am approaching my contractual ETS date at the end of this month, I am eligible for the TAMP. Does anyone have experience or advice with this?
Questions are:
- Do they issue temporary ID cards for this program? If not, how do you show proof?
- Does it work the same as tricare while on active duty?
- Are there any differences in coverage?
- Does TAMP automatically update once you hit ETS?
