SSG(P) (Join to see) - In addition to any regulation that someone else may post, I strongly suggest that you check with the bride. Usually ONLY the bride wears white.

SPC (Join to see) I would be more worried about SMA Dailey than Chandler, who's retired by now, I guess.

CSM Chandler didn't retire. CSM Chandler simple returned to shadows, biding his time. CSM Chandler is always watching, waiting, and collecting names.
I once witnessed that man gaze through that thick haze that only an entire artillery battalion with all guns firing can produce and he spotted a disturbance in the force and knee a correction had to be made.... from the opposite end of the gunline.
PFC Thompson was the unfortunate recipient of the correction. It was our 43rd day in the field as a battalion. PFC Thompson had worn his green socks every which way possible and the crust plus the below freezing temps turned his boot socks into WMDs. PFC Thompson wore white socks that day and in the rush of running rounds a sliver of white showed. PFC Thompson was found that next day in his sleeping bag, deceased, with a white sock stuffed in his mouth and written upon that sock was "From Raymond with love, 670-1 is not a game." The Eye of Chandler never sleeps.

Btw... The above story was fiction.

Here is the deal, the bride and her mother have the last word! LET ME EMPHASIZE IT IN BOLD LETTERS!!!!! THE BRIDE AND HER MOTHER HAVE THE LAST WORD!!!!! IT'S ALL ABOUT THE BRIDE!!! This is a very important and significant moment for them and it could potentially be detrimental for your emotional health the rest of your life. Keep the uniform within regs.

Maj Werner Saemmler-Hindrichs - My pleasure! Just trying to prevent my fellow RP member from self-inflicting some avoidable, unnecessary, and unbearable pain.

Sir, let me see if I understand, "THE BRIDE AND HER MOTHER HAVE THE LAST WORD"!!! ;-) I really love this site. You guys crack me up. The only reason I asked was because I was on Marlow White.com ordering an I saw the whites still being sold so I was wondering what was the regulation on it because I though they had been phased out.

Yes Sir, You probably did. I believe I got my answer though. Looks like the consensus is that "Mess Whites" are still authorized but "Service Whites" are not and ..."THE BRIDE AND HER MOTHER HAVE THE LAST WORD"... I appreciate all the brothers in arms coming to my rescue. I may even post pictures of the final decision..

SSG(P) (Join to see), the Army White Uniform (looks very similar to dress greens) was phased out in 2014. If you're asking about the white mess (black tie and cummerbund) or white evening mess (white tie and white waistcoat) uniforms, take a look at AR 670-1, paragraph 18-3, subparagraphs a. and b. Either could be worn it seems, but as previously stated, only from April to October, and the wedding should be held after retreat.
Either uniform is pricey.

Not if you've been to Korea. I had my Mess Whites made for like $300 tops and bottoms....
