GWOTSM Eligibility for a Reservist?

HRC says that the GWOT may not be awarded for a Reservist doing AT. What defines "Annual Training?" I have two sets of 40 day orders as a Drill Sergeant, in the same year, both of which say "Annual Training" on the orders, but this is obviously beyond two weeks. Additionally done several months of ADOS. Is the pay code the determining qualifier for this ribbon?

And can someone cite a specific regulation or ALARACT to support their answer?

And your orders state you're in support of what operation? Don't worry about chasing fruit salad.

SGM Mikel Dawson - I can appreciate the advice, but a decade removed from service, I can't see how you'd be knowledgeable on current awards. A paragraph of information completely irrelevant to the question at hand supports this.

LTC Jerry Hallman - 1/1 on my NCOERs, Brigade Drill of the Year, Bachelor of Science degree, volunteered for every mission doing 3 AT's a year, 14 Army courses...

That's why I'm asking about this ribbon. Because my idealistic "I'll do my best" does not have a place in the Army, as far as I can see. Competency has gotten me nowhere.

It's incredibly embarrassing to be asking how to get insignificant ribbons. But this is where I'm at.

SGT S Good - It's called the internet for reasons. How hard is it to keep current - not very. What you need to do is look at your MOS, get into correspondence courses, retirement point plus promotion points. School, education helps. Like I said, maybe you need to look at a different unit. I had to move to move up. Remember no one cares more about your career than you do..

I'm curious about this as well. I don't have enough ADOS in yet, but another SM in my unit surely does. So per AR 600-8-22, 2-19.

c. Criteria. Service members must be assigned, attached, or mobilized to a unit supporting designated operations listed in 2–18g for 30 consecutive days or for 60 nonconsecutive days, or meet one of the following criteria:
(1) Initial award of the GWOTSM. Limited to airport security operations (from 27 September 2001 through 31 May 2002) and Soldiers who supported Operations NOBLE EAGLE, ENDURING FREEDOM, and IRAQI FREEDOM.
(2) All Soldiers on active duty, including Reserve Component Soldiers mobilized, or National Guard Soldiers activated on or after 11 September 2001 to a date to be determined having served 30 consecutive days or 60 nonconsecutive days are authorized the GWOTSM.

Specifically Section 2 where it states that RC or NG Soldiers "ACTIVATED" on or after 11 Sep 01 TBD having served 30 consecutive or 60 nonconsecutive.

So if an RC Soldier has 90 days of ADOS, does that apply toward the GWOTSM?
