Harriette Thompson wouldn't let radiation treatment for carcinoma on her legs stop her from running the San Diego Marathon.

What do you think and why?

I don't care how old, young or thin or heavy someone is...I get so pumped up when I see anyone running. Consider it this way, the body is designed to run, and by not running, we are only breaking it down.

I ran my first marathon Oct 5, 2014 at the age of 44 and it kicked my butt. But I want to best my time...so I am my only competitor. I looked up the Portland Marathon records and we had several 70 and 80 year old running it. Isn't that just awesome?
