How has mobile technology changed the Army profession for the good or bad

It has provided more resources available on the battlefield, however what happens when that technology fails, what is the backup plan.

It's given the S2 one more reason to suspend your clearance.
On the plus side:
GPS units, while diminishing some SMs ability to navigate by map, are definitely a benefit to most soldiers. They rarely fail (in my experiences) and if they do you have your PACE to work off of.
