There's plenty of information concerning the WOFT program and applying if you're active duty, but I'm struggling to find information regarding applying from the civilian side. I don't have a DA photo or access to the people to write letters of recommendation. Any recommendations or checklists for civilians?

Have you contacted a recruiter? I can ask one of my classmates, but he's deployed right now so I'm not sure how soon I can get an answer.

I recently moved and ran into an issue with recruiters not knowing anything about this subject before I came back to Texas. I want to go in armed with as much information as possible to answer any and all questions they may have.

CW3 (Join to see) - General recruiting. I'm emailed the Warrant officer recruiting and they told me to speak with my local recruiters.

SPC Dustin Rhine - Regular recruiting stations are missioned for WOFT and OCS. USAREC has special recruiters for warrant officers, chaplains, JAG, and medical officers. Ask for the station commander, or look up the number for the recruiting company and talk to the 1SG. Many new recruiters never handled WOFT or OCS so they are unfamiliar with it, and its not all that common for some recruiting stations to never get a WOFT applicant. Make them do their jobs and work for you. They also have to send you to an installation that does flight physicals, which is part of the packet.

Hi, I’m wondering the same thing.
I’m from Las Vegas, graduating high school in May 2018.
ASVAB: 72
SIFT: 52
GPA: 2.6 ( pretty low )
Community Service: 110 hours
LORs: USAF Colonel F-16 Pilot Ret.
USCG Commander Ret.
USN Navy Seal Ret.
(more to come)
JROTC: 3 Years
Resume Consists of 4 different jobs I’ve obtained over my HS. Varying in Lifeguarding, Construction, and Other.

I realize I’m at a disadvantage considering GPA, No college or flight time, and lack of military service.

The WOFT link on there just talks about general requirements. I already know the standards.

There should be info on how to put the packet together. Anyways, call a recruiter and they will hook you up. The packet goes to a USAREC selection board that convenes at Fort Knox once a quarter. You have to be interviewed in person by the recruiting battalion commander or XO first, but you don't "attend" the board. The results usually get released about 2 weeks after the board, if selected you have 30 days to go to MEPS and do the contract.
