Trading your ShamShield for a Sham Bar would be on the top of my list of I were you.

In all seriousness warrant officers are highly respected professionals who are subject matter experts in their assigned fields. It's a means to an end to become one of the best in that field.... Just don't look for them at formation.

SPC(P) (Join to see) What would be the benefit to the Army for you to become a 'Warrant officer? The equation has two sides and the benefits need to balance. Not intended to be a sarcastic response - the personal and financial benefits to the individual are readily quantifiable. You need to create a list of possible value to the Army and compare the twol

What SP5 Jim Taylor is saying has a lot of truth. What can you bring to the table? Although tge warrant ranks seem to be understrength, packets are still getting turned down. Have you talked to a Warrant in your branch yet? If not I suggest you request to talk to him so you can get the whole picture good and bad. Pick their brain get that knowledge. Then show this warrant what you do bring to the table. Good luck!!!
