Wanted to post a success story and emphasize why our medical system needs the changes that are happening.

My step-mom is going into her 4th round of chemo for breast cancer. Total bills - HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS. Because of the ACA, total out of pocket is $5k. My parents are just under the age for medicare, my dad gets VA support, but without the ACA they would now be bankrupt. Universal coverage is something I'm happy to pay a little extra taxes towards.

Ian, glad to hear that's its helping your parents. While I don't agree with a lot about the ACA and feel there are a lot better ways of implementing the concept, I do agree with safety nets for those that life has thrown a curve ball and need a legitimate helping hand.

I fully support helping those who truly need the help, not those who are just too lazy to get off their duffs and help themselves. It should be for people like your step-mom.

The grossly mis-named Affordable Care Act was sold to the American public by a lying President and his administration. It is yet just another bribe for the freeloader class to keep voting for Democrat candidates to keep the gravy train flowing.

Now that the real impact of the ACA is getting to be known, the American people can see what a scam it was from the beginning.

Sir I will be praying for your family. I agree it works most of the problems came because of glitches in the system orginally if we as soldiers turned our backsbon everything that glitches on the first try we would not have equipment. Especially in the Field Artillery
