RallyPoint has been around for a long time now. I had the honor of visiting the RallyPoint HQ recently and got a chance to really reflect on all the stories and some characters of RallyPoint. What is a story that stands out when you think of RallyPoint. Mine is, of course, the Saluting LT question. That question will always be remembered with infamy.

I was on RallyPoint around 0600, just starting to take my first sip of coffee, when I stumbled upon a new post. I quickly realized that there was nothing normal about this post. It was a cry for help, possibly even a suicide note. I immediately contacted the RallyPoint Admin, the member's contacts, and messaged the member directly myself. Our full attention was on that post and making sure we kept the member online. Over the next hour the community had come together, showered the member in their support, and got in contact with other RallyPoint members in the area. Members in the area were able to go to the OPs residence, talk with the OP, and get the them the help they needed. The OP is now seeing a therapist and is doing much better.

Not so much a story but a great pleasure meeting some fine folks. While in DC visiting my son SSG Steven Borders I got to meet PV2 (Join to see) 1SG Michael Blount CW5 Jim Steddum SGT Kristin Wiley CW3 (Join to see). My biggest regret is missing a possible chance of meeting the famous CPT (Join to see) of 'Saluting LT' question fame while he was here in Spokane. The great people here on Rally Point is one of our greatest assets! I salute you all, great job!!!
