So how exactly are we loosening the grip of foreign oil when foreign oil is putting US Oil companies out of business and denying the Keystone Pipeline? Isn't anyone paying attention?

I saw his bullet points already. There isn't anything he has to say related to veterans. There is nothing substantial on vets whatsoever. No mention of ‪the Clay Hunt‬ suicide prevention bill. No mention of the VA scandal. No recognition of real problems. All sunshine. An enormous disappointment.

I expected POTUS to speak on the national debt, the ongoing gas price deflating, the military and hiring of vets, and the new college act he was discussing giving free education. I just want to see in the coming months how that is feasible country wide (education bill) and how far the national debt has fallen, considering we're still spending and national debt is still around 18 trillion. Boots are still on the ground, even though the war is "over".

Just watched the State of the Union Address. It's troubling so many our veterans avoid & ignore the President. Refuse to tune in to hear whats going on, particularly when all read here is critism of the President. I would think vets would be respectful of his prespective even if we disagree.

I listed to it, because it comes on at the time i get up every morning getting ready to go to work. I wasn't surprised when he threatened Congress if they submitted any passed bills about immigration, health care that go against what he's forced upon us. Yet congress can still over ride a veto (if they got the guts to).

He stated employment is up, but how is this figure reached? Does it count people who've stopped looking for work? Does it also include all the federal jobs (these are employment but it's feeding from the government).

He wants to have free college, but with the national debt, our forking out money to every country and cause in the world, where is the money coming from? He also talked about increasing taxes on the wealthy - I ask why not put a flat tax on everyone so we all pay the equal amount. I know there are a lot of tax loop holes the wealth use, but I also know those who have the drive and want, get up and get the job done and make money. Obummer never talks about those who's health care premiums have climbed because of HIS new mandate.

He doesn't care our country is over run by illegals and wants to give them all a free pass to be here and suck the sugar tit as well. We already have good immigration laws on the books, just enforce them and things will work. One thing I would change, is if you're passing through and have a kid, it can't be a U.S. citizen!! How many countries in the world do this? Should be at least a minimum one parent is a U.S. citizen.

To me the State of our Union is not real good. We've got a lot to do. Term limits needs to be placed on Congress to carve out the dead weight! Too much money and special interest groups are running our national business. Federal Reserve needs to be abolished. Why do we need private bankers printing our money, running our business - it's called the Department of the Treasury!

The two party system is out of date, especially when both parties are in bed together. We need leaders who are thinking of the State of the Union first, not their own pocket book!!
