Sergeant, I am not surprised. It seems as though back-to-back deployments have made it difficult for families to stay together, and that breeds depression, especially around the holidays.

The first five years is the make or break. We've seen a consistent trend that has gone on longer than any previous conflict, but that is because we have never had a conflict involving such a large percentage of our military force for such an extended period of time.
As our veterans mature and move on past this phase, I expect that those who survive, will be among the greatest leaders of the next twenty years.
