I am on  orders to 1-87 Infantry. I would really like to branch out from the headquarters side of the Army. I served on a PSD for 7 months of my last deployment to Afghanistan and I loved it. I like being outside the wire. My biggest fear is to deploy and be stuck on the FOB. Any way of setting in for a line company spot ahead of time? Or is it mainly just for 25C? If there is any possible way I could go to  line company I would be more than happy. Let me know if you have any advice. 25U2(P) in an Infantry line company 2014-02-11T17:36:54-05:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 55721 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I would really like to be attached to a line company when I PCS to Fort Drum later this year. But talk to career counselors and keep on trying and let me know if you get anywhere. Company level is generally SGT and below. A good BDE S6 NCOIC will listen to what the signal soldiers want to do.
