Anyone been diagnosed with a torqued spine and Scoliosis? How did you manage the pain and were you able to avoid MEB?

Isn't scoliosis an automatic DQ condition?

I had all sorts of problems with my back (cracked vertebrae, mild scoliosis, severe muscle spasms). What I found that helped was Yoga and pilates. Both strengthen the core more than just crunches do. Ref AR 40-501 chapter 3 standards for retention for the issue. A MEB/PED will be started if the condition warrants one. If it was diagnosed below the retention threshold one might not be automatically started. The commander can request one be started as well.
