A lot of jobs in the military require a TS clearance but are there any MOS's that take it a step further and specifically require one to take a polygraph?

The polygraph is not the end all be all. I don't know of any that use it. It is a good investigative tool but it is far from fool proof.

Interesting comment, "investigative tool" - The questions on mine seemed to be dead-on about 1 of my old units.

I find the subject of polygraph lie detectors very interesting. Especially capturing exactly how it all began. So you can read this article https://liedetectortest.com/a-brief-history-of-the-lie-detector-test/ and learn more about lie detectors. Also as far as I know my brother's wife tested him on a polygraph thanks to this company.

As a 98G2LAEC8, I had one in 1987. ETS'd in '88, so I'm not sure of anything. Except they said they couldn't differentiate between truth & lies on the initial questions and shortly afterwards I got a special assignment.
