With Veteran's Day just passing, how do you feel about spousal dependents getting free perks (Meals, Discounts, Etc.) that are meant for Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard and Veterans?

I choose none of the above. The 'freebies' you speak of are provided at the discretion of the merchant. If these businesses choose to recognize the sacrifices of family members as well.. then more power to them. It is NOT for us to say who a business provides free stuff to and who they don't...they are under no obligation what so ever to provide anything free to anyone.
As to the photo, obviously in bad taste. I'm sure the views of that particular individual do not represent the views of the majority of family members.

They may not wear the uniform, but if it is offered, they deserve it just the same. Anyone who thinks that it is easy for the spouse needs to take a long look at what they go though. While I was deployed, my wife wasn't taking IDF's, instead, she was worrying if I was safe, taking care of the kids, paying the bills, shoveling snow, Dr.'s appointments, being mom and dad, and everything else we did as a team. I put my oldest son on a plane on 22 OCT, 2016 and watched his wife struggle without him, almost to the breaking point. She earned those privileges just the same as he did.

My wife shops at several business that give military discounts. The discount applies to both of us, me being the SM. She has even been thanked for her service by a few salespeople. She responded by telling them it wasn't her, but me, her husband. A couple told her, you stood beside him!

Why shouldn't they get some of the perks? Sure they didn't get shot at and whatnot but who held it down on the home front or has been supporting the Veteran through his/her transition?

I agree with you SFC Mark Merino, the "milking it" comment does rub me the wrong way too but how many times have you heard Veterans say the exact same thing? There is a huge difference between appreciating the support and just taking advantage.

I remember one occasion, where I received a discount on my meal, but since my wife was not a veteran, she didn't. No fuss by us. Can't even remember where it was. If a company wants to limit military discounts to the SM only, and not the wife, they need to post it. I would not have a problem with that.

If a veteran/active duty member goes to place x,y and z and they decide to offer the benefit to the family members, I see no issue with it. OTOH, if spouse goes to a place and starts demanding the benefit because he/she is a dependent, then I say hell no.
