Obviously, he did the right thing. It should not matter that the Service Members involved where of the same sex. If that had been a heterosexual couple, the same thing should have happened. Off post, and out of uniform, nobody's business. On post, in uniform, at a formal event....no good.

I would do some more research on this. I believe this is indicative to the way the Army's Investigative processes work.

I heard this previously, and there is more to this, than snippet the media showed. This happened, started in 2012, and eventually the Commander sued; there is lots on line about this.

Who knows what really happened. I believe the Senior Officer said the conduct was not appropriate in public, regardless of sex; not just because it was two women. This of course, appears to have degenerated to EO related issues and discrimination.

Having been investigated by EO, the DAIG and the DOD IG, I can tell you for certain, these agencies get their Jollies by taking down, or trying to take down Senior Leaders/Officers. They also immediately assume the accused is guilty based on any allegation. Then, the position we are in, is guilty until we prove we are innocent.

No. I do not feel it is "political correctness" at all, but rather a giant pissing contest where the stars on one collar beat the oak leafs on the other's collar.
