Ah you are a direct commission. The moment you swear in they will first commission you as reserves and when you get to Fort Sam during in processing for BOLC they will swear you into active duty. ( this what several nurses and doc went through) As long as your first duty station is Fort Sam for BOLC.

By the way your contract you sign in , will say what compo your going into. If it says reserves and not active then you need to have a different talk with the recruiter.

Unless it has changed a lot, you can be a Reserve Officer on AD. Lot of advantages over RA, if you not a ring banger. #1 you retire at 20 years and can get a civil service job right away. RA Officers have to wait a couple of years. A minus can only promote to LTC.
