I am an artist starting out in her career, for obvious reasons it is a side gig at first. My medium is Chinese brush painting and oil, working with landscapes in both. Anyone else starting a business in art or machine crafts?

I am an artist of sorts. I have a B.S. in photography. I used to do a lot more of the artistic type of photography and a lot of post production work in the dark room but life happened and I don't really take the time to do it anymore. I always tell myself that I will get the camera back out and get back to work because it is a therapy of sorts but I never prioritize it high enough.

I have worked in all sorts of mediums, but watercolor and acrylic are more of stronger experience over Oils when it come to paint. If I have to pick one media to work with it be graphite on Illustration Board. With that said I cant just pick one, So ink, oil, graphite, pastels, watercolor pencils, watercolor, color pencils, brush and ink, stick and ink, pen, pencil, char coal, and digital.

Maybe their aren't too many members that consider themselves artists.
I paint. Not very well, but I try. I paint with acrylics right now and will probably move to oils. I prefer what I call skies and seas, mostly landscapes with interesting skies and water. I haven't done any true seascapes yet, but I'm going to the beach this summer and will probably try to paint some while I am there.
