How do I determine if I am under the profile recovery time spam according to Army Policy?

I had surgery in May removing a 2"X 1 1/2" Tumor from my chest. I was instructed by my medical practitioner to be on light duty and was given a memorandum stating this information. That following drill I presented the information to my unit and was made to take the APFT. My light duty restriction wasn't due to end until 18 June after I had my intial post op follow up. My surgical practitioner is no longer at the hospital on base to fill out the profile paperwork and I am scheduled to meet with another general surgeon to have this paperwork filled out. I was informed that I am on the list for the APFT this drill and was wondering if I was still under the recovery time span according to Army Policy?

Under the new profile system. Your recovery time is included in your profile. When your profile expires, your recovery time is over as well. Army Directive 2016-07 (dated 1 MAR 2016)

Screw the profile, thankful your life was saved! God is Good! I see profiles being misused all the time for hurt big toes and paper cuts, yet when it's a potential life threatening injury, people want to throw the regs & paperwork at you and try punish those who truly need recovery time. It'll all work out! Just keep putting in that work! God bless you!

Your info is not really clear. The profile as I recall is twice the period of recovery not to exceed 90 days, unless otherwise stated. This is information you should be able to get from your medics. Unfortunately if you have nothing I. Writing your unit can require you to perform normal duties. If you have nothing but believe your health is at risk you need to see a doctor before or during drill, provided you have an insight PA or Doc. Thank you for your service.

There is no more twice the time for recovery. When you get a profile written by a provider, your recovery time is built into the profile. The "availability to take APFT" block on the profile is there for this reason. Therefore, you should have gotten a profile after your surgery. If you didnt, well that sucks but now you know.
