A couple of colleagues and I were recently lementing that we often find out about major changes to the Air Force and our career fields from sources like Facebook (groups, functional pages, etc) well before (and if we hear anything at all) our official channels.

This really highlights that some bases\units simply do a better job at pushing out info.

Here is an example. MAJCOM functional for a careerfield at another MAJCOM post some critical information about a major upcoming change to that AFSC. Airman Snuffy ask his supervisor (E5) who doesn't know the info. The supervisor in turn asks the Section Chief (E7) who doesn't know. The Section Chief asks the Sq CEM (E9) who doesn't know. Who now in turn contacts their own MAJCOM functional who has they info and pushed it out via "official channels".
