Did a 2 month rotation at JSA back in '99 for a special assignment related to the Y2K supposed scare, although we all know nothing came from it, but they had many units, especially MPs and MI on special assignments left and right for months leading up to January 1st.

It was so much dog and pony show, any real Soldiers were amazed that we didn't have the old school silver helmet liners along with our dress blues at the time.

Camp Garry Owen, 88-89 17th Cav.  Wife came over as a volunteer for my last 7 months and served with the 3rd Brigade Chaplains office and with the Commander.  I was the Camp TOC NCOIC for the last 6 months.  We also were very active with a local orphanage.  Both of us had been on the border, what a great year, it changed our lives.

I was at Stanley in 87-88 with B Trp, last of the Blues Platoons.  Then  helped move the Air Cav to Mobile and was stuck there for  a while as the Training NCO for Mobile.  89 moved to A Troop for my last 6 months or so.  83-84 was at G.O. with A Trp.  5-17 was only in existence from 88 to 96.  Only history for that Squadron is the 8 years in Korea.

Camp Casey was the closest assignment I had.  I have been there three times.
