DFAS has always approved my mother as a Secondary Dependent and I've always recieved BAH at the w/dep rate for wherever I've been stationed, i.e. HI and FL, even though she's always resided in MA. My question is, what would I be entitled to if I were to get an assignment in Kelley Barracks, Stuttgart, Germany as a Reservist on a CO-ADOS tour? Would I get any Housing Allowance or would I just get thrown in the barracks, not get any housing allowance, and end up having to pay out of pocket from my base pay to cover my mother's living expenses in MA?

Somebody with more current knowledge may correct me on this, but I don't see your BAH rate changing. Just as unaccompanied married personnel living in government-supplied bachelor quarters, you still have a dependent family member. You probably will be assigned quarters in barracks. You don't mention your marital status or your housing arrangements at your current or former duty stations.

Stuttgart doesnt have bachelor housing and barracks space is limited to E-4 and below 1SG. They may have a special arrangment for Reservist who are only going to be there TDY.

I just left Stuttgart in October and all E-5 and above without kids are being made to live off post on the economy and they recieve OHA to pay for that. That is for active duty members however. You will have to speak with the housing office located on Patch Barracks to get a deffinate answer. If you need anything else feel free to message me.
