My duty station is currently asking for 200 voluntary early separations. I heard in passing that the NEC which correlated to my MOS (68K) is the only one exempted from the list. If this is the case (I’m having the email forwarded to me tomorrow by a coworker to verify), who would I be able to talk to if I still want to volunteer to separate early? I was also told if they do not reach the 200 volunteers, they will discharge personnel randomly.
Side note: I have been on a long-term temporary profile for almost 60 days with an idiopathic diagnosis, have standing BH and psychiatric appointments along with standing physical therapy appointments. I’m hoping these will serve as grounds to consider me for this voluntary separation.

I’d talk with a senior NCO. Then I’d think about letting the military provide medical care. It does not get inexpensive once you leave the service.
